The Syrian Arab Red Crescent branch in Daraa returned the southern well of Tafas in Daraa countryside to service after its rehabilitation.
The head of the Red Crescent branch in Daraa, Dr. Ahmed Al-Masalma, said in a statement to SANA reporter today that the well stopped pumping water for more than two years, which caused an increase in the suffering of the people in the field of securing their drinking water needs, indicating that the solar energy system of the well had been rehabilitated.
Al-Masalma explained that the number of beneficiaries from the well is about 6 thousand people, and the rehabilitation was carried out in cooperation with the Daraa Drinking Water Corporation and with the support of the International Committee of the Red Cross.
