The Dachau volunteer fire brigade is launching a call for donations to support affected fire brigades in the flood area in Rhineland-Palatinate, Ahrtal region.
Some comrades were on site for ten days as part of the district-wide aid contingent. This reinforced the idea of launching an appeal for donations, especially for the fire brigades affected. "It is indescribable what distress broke in on this otherwise idyllic stretch of land, from one second to the next," said Florian Reiter, the new CEO of the Dachau fire brigade, who himself was a helper in the crisis area. “We have established contacts with the affected fire brigades in the Ahr Valley and would make the donated amount available to those responsible on site. In consultation with them, they want to use the donated sums to buy the equipment they need (such as power generators) that were destroyed by the floods, ”added Reiter.The volunteer fire brigade Dachau asks all citizens for support and, true to the motto of the fire brigades: "God for honor, the next one to fight", calls for a fundraising campaign; every euro counts.
