A terrible tragedy mourned a Russian family after a health professional took a baby a few hours old, and
threw it for the sale of a hospital causing death instantly.
The incident occurred in June after a
34-year-old
woman identified as
Viktoria Ivanova
gave birth to her third child at a maternal medical center in Sterlitamak.
According to local media, Ivanova was sharing her room with a doctor named
Alina Araslanova
, 29, who had also given birth to her second daughter that same day.
Victim and perpetrator, both of Russian nationality.
But at night Araslanova allegedly went to his bed, took the newborn, went to the window and
threw him from a third floor for no apparent reason.
The baby, Volodya, fell to the ground and died instantly on Monday, Interfax reported.
He was not even a day old.
According to the NTV website, the women were in very close beds and when her partner left the room for a moment, the murderer took the opportunity to take the baby and throw it.
But at night Araslanova allegedly went to his bed, took the newborn, went to the window and threw him from a third floor for no apparent reason.
Local media later reported that Araslanova
had previously spent time in a psychiatric hospital receiving treatment for depression.
But she was discharged from the medical center shortly before the birth of her daughter, as doctors concluded that she "did not pose a threat to others."
Araslanova graduated in medicine six years ago and has since worked as a general practitioner in a village, and according to a friend to the media, she loved her profession and "was always there to help."
Volodya was the third child of Viktoria Ivanova and her husband.
The father of the dead baby surprisingly said: "It is our will that this woman be forgiven, we do not want to punish her. She should be allowed to live her happy life. We have accepted everything, we do not want anyone to be punished."
Since then, Araslanova has undergone a new psychiatric examination and the results are expected to decide whether she will be arrested or admitted for mandatory treatment.
His daughters remain in the care of the authorities.
“The most difficult thing is waking up in the morning and realizing that this is the reality (…) I try to endure for the sake of our children, but it doesn't always work.
Sometimes I just can't seem to cope and want to give up.
This feeling will not go away, I will have to live with this my whole life, ”Ivanova revealed to the Russian press.
