"We are pleased that the Spanish Government has made the coherent decision to reopen borders to travelers between Colombia and Spain," the vice president and foreign minister of Colombia, Marta Lucía Ramírez, tweeted this Monday, when the European country lifted the entry restrictions for Colombian travelers to Spanish territory.

"The Foreign Ministry of Colombia, together with our Embassy in Spain, presented for weeks the health data that justified making this decision," added the Foreign Minister.

The restriction that was lifted, on July 27, prohibited the entry of Colombians, with some exceptions as residents, couples of citizens, descendants under 21 years of age or in emergency cases.

Now, from this August 24, the Ministry of Health modified the temporary restriction to entry to Spain, so that from that date Colombian travelers will be able to enter Spanish territory without quarantining and complying with sanitary conditions such as presenting a certificate of vaccination at least 14 days after the administration of the last dose, fill in the Spain Travel Health form and have the QR code before boarding the flight.

"Thanks to the improvement of the epidemiological situation in Colombia and after the joint work carried out with its Government, the travel regime to Spain is resumed: people from Colombia will be able to enter Spain if they are vaccinated, after completing the QR", he explained. the ambassador of Spain in Colombia, Marcos Gómez.

The Embassy of Spain in Colombia sums it up like this: "1. NO quarantine, 2. Complete vaccination schedule, 3. Form spth.gob.es and QR before boarding."
