The international agenda is fulfilled yes or yes.

With that premise they work in the Presidency and the Chancellery.

Alberto Fernández always felt that in his outings to the world not only did he do well, he even moved away like any president from problems "at home", which in this case are many.

Outside, Fernández feels treated as a man of dialogue in the context of an extremely unstable region, to which is added the lack of leadership in Brazil.

Now, shortly after the primary elections on September 12, but still in the middle of the electoral campaign, the President has four trips ahead of him that he plans to complete.

On September 18 he will be in Mexico; the 21 in the United States.

He promised participation in the

G20 meeting, in Rome, on October 30 and 31,

and in the climate summit known as COP 26 that will be held in Glasgow, Scotland,

United Kingdom, on November 1 and 2

. The Argentine legislatures are 14. Cristina Kirchner was the last president of Argentina to travel to Great Britain. He did it in 2009 for one of the G20 meetings.

The truth is that on September 21, Alberto F.

will speak for the first time in person before the plenary session of the United Nations General Assembly

.

In 2020, he did it but in a virtual way.

Biden has to speak in the morning before the organization, after Jair Bolsonaro, from Brazil, as every year.

It is a tradition.

Fernández had his turn late,

in ninth place after Nayib Bukele, from El Salvador, and before Surangel Whipps Jr., from Palau.

This turn is something that the Argentine representative in the organization actually wins or does not, depending on the speed of the request.

In addition to his well-known requests for universal access to vaccines against the coronavirus, the President wants to insist on his demands for the implementation of a restructuring of international financial organizations -which CFK also requested- and there is talk that he seeks to talk about

economic growth post pandemic and environmental sustainability.

If the president of the United States decides to host the welcome cocktail for foreign delegations traveling to New York, Fernández will be there.

Foreign Minister Felipe Solá, Secretary for Strategic Affairs Gustavo Beliz, and US Ambassador Jorge Argüello would travel to New York.

A transcendent in Casa Rosada tells that the presidential adviser Cecilia Nicolini would be the party in the framework of her aspiration, already confessed to be the next Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Government men say it is difficult to wait for a first bilateral meeting with Joe Biden in New York.

And they insist that by protocol it should be in Washington and not in the context of a multilateral forum.

They whisper that Biden is focused on the problems stemming from his decision to pull US troops out of Afghanistan, which allowed the Taliban to reconquer the territory.

However,

Clarín

knows

that there is a

silent job to show Argentines the first photo of Biden and Alberto Fernández, whether in New York, Rome or Glasgow.

In New York there could also be brief meetings with Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin, if the leaders of China and Russia decide to travel to New York.

This is very likely in the context of the crisis over Afghanistan.

For the moment, the bilateral hearings are green in the framework of a meeting that will be face-to-face but extremely restricted due to the COVID 19 health crisis.

On September 18, Fernández, Solá and Béliz will be in Mexico City fighting for the Argentine candidacy to preside over the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

The summit will bring other leaders, but the government

faces two dilemmas.

On the one hand, Daniel Ortega seeks to awaken an opposition group to Argentina,

even proposing Saint Vincent and the Grenadines as a candidate to preside over CELAC

.

The Nicaraguan dictator is angered by Argentine and Mexican pressure to release his political prisoners.

On the other hand, last Sunday, Solá held a WhatsApp exchange with Félix Plasencia, Nicolás Maduro's new foreign minister.

He replaced Jorge Arreaza and that served as excuses for communication between Washington and Caracas.

The Argentine fear is that the Sandinista regime will also drag the Chavistas into its opposition scheme to Argentina.

The other point is that Alberto F. is very critical of the Secretary General of the OAS, Luis Almagro, but he is not very convinced this time to accompany Andrés Manuel López Obrador's own project.

As a train of his own regional leadership, and empowered by the dialogue table that was opened in Mexico between the Nicolás Maduro regime and the Venezuelan opposition, AMLO is proposing to dynamite the OAS.

In a conversation with the Puebla Group, Alberto spoke in the same tone. However, there are not a few his advisers who ask to take care of the relationship that Argentina always had in the inter-American organization, which is also one of the spaces where the United States is interested.
