The football world bows its head.
The beloved football commentator, Brazilian Slava, passed away tonight (Wednesday) at the age of 69 after contracting Corona.
A Brazilian who was born in Rio de Janeiro and in 1971 immigrated to Israel with the Habonim Dror - Brazil youth movement, he became known as a particularly popular sports commentator with a rare sense of humor and a Hebrew with a heavy Brazilian accent, which was common in his mouth.
In 2005, a Brazilian began working as a commentator on the Charlton sports channels, for which he covered the South American leagues.
Among other things, Slava broadcast the Brazilian Premier League, the Portuguese Premier League, the Libertadores Cup, the European League, the League of Nations and the various Copa America Cups in football (Copa America 1995 - Copa America 2021)
Over the years, a Brazilian has covered 8 World Cups in football for the various media channels (Italy 1990, United States 1994, France 1998, Japan and Korea 2002, Germany 2006, South Africa 2010, Brazil 2014, Russia 2018).
A Brazilian left behind a wife and two children.
Of blessed memory.
