Beijing, SANA- China today lifted health restrictions imposed on the port of Ningbo Zhoushan, one of the largest ports in the world

Beijing-Sana

China today lifted health restrictions imposed on the port of Ningbo Zhoushan, one of the largest ports in the world, partially suspended for days, after an outbreak of the Corona virus emerged among its workers, which negatively affected the logistics transportation.

The discovery of a corona infection among the port workers led to the closure of the Meishan Feh terminal, which is capable of accommodating ten million containers.

The Chinese (CCTV) TV, quoting a memo issued by the local authorities, stated that the health restrictions imposed on the Meishan station in the port will be lifted today, with activity gradually resuming, as the station will return to work at full capacity on the first of next September.

The memo indicated that about two thousand workers in the port were asked to isolate themselves, while the global supply networks are suffering from tension mainly against the background of the measures imposed to confront the spread of the Corona epidemic.

Ningbo Zhoushan, 250 kilometers south of Shanghai, is one of China's main shipping ports.

Last year, 1.2 billion tons of goods passed through this port, which is the third in the world in terms of exports.
