Kempten - If the Allgäu Festival Week did not return to the city center, this year at least the traditional city criterion of the RSC Kempten could take place on the tried and tested circuit around Bodmanstrasse.

This year, the well-known city criterion with its one-kilometer circuit was also the last qualifying run for the German championship.

Those in charge of the RSC were able to win the newly crowned Olympic champion Lisa Brennauer from Durach as a special guest, who gave the starting signal for the elite amateur race. Around 150 riders took part in this year's cycling criterion. The races were in three different classes, the juniors in the age groups U15, U17 and U19 (25 kilometers each), as well as the amateurs (60 kilometers) and the elite amateurs (70 kilometers). The latter two races also served as the final qualifying races for the final of the German Criteria Championship in Gießen at the end of August.

The permitted number of 200 spectators was achieved despite adverse weather conditions.

On behalf of Mayor Thomas Kiechle, the city council's sports officer, Thomas Landerer, opened the traditional cycling event on Sunday afternoon.

The placements of the five individual races: U15: 1st place Linus Schmid, 2nd place Nico Wollenberg, 3rd place Tim Haase |

U17: 1st place Julius Gindhart, 2nd place Moritz Eisele, 3rd place Samuel Schulz |

U19: 1st place Mikolaj Rybicki, 2nd place Jan Rinklef, 3rd place Linus Vogel |

Amateurs: 1st place Dominic Klemme, 2nd place Ludwig Stadler, 3rd place Max Engel |

Elite amateurs: 1st place Dario Rapps, 2nd place Fabian Danner, 3rd place Michael Wasserab.
