Dr. Faisal Miqdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, discussed during his meeting today Corinne Fleischer, Director of the Regional Office of the World Food Program and the accompanying delegation, ways to enhance the relationship of cooperation between the Syrian government and the program.
Minister Miqdad praised the existing cooperation between the government of the Syrian Arab Republic and the World Food Program and the efforts made by the program to deliver humanitarian aid to those in need, stressing the need to ensure the delivery of this aid and to adhere to the principles of humanitarian action and to avoid the politicization practiced by some Western countries in this context.
Minister Miqdad also spoke about the delicate economic and living conditions that the Syrian people are going through, as a direct result of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on them by the United States and some Western countries. Daily life, especially food and basic services for the Syrian citizen.
Fleischer expressed her appreciation for the continuous cooperation between the Syrian government and the program and confirmed that it will do everything that can be done to ensure the strengthening of this cooperation and the provision of humanitarian assistance to the groups that need it. the coming months.
