Spencer Elden, who was just a four-month-old baby when she starred

the famous Nevermind album cover

(1991) of Nirvana, denounced the former members and heirs of the group on Tuesday and accused them of child pornography.

"The defendants

promoted

Spencer's

child pornography

intentionally and commercially and made use of the shocking nature of his image to promote themselves and their music at Spencer's expense," says the complaint filed in a court in California, United States. and that it was picked up by means of that country.

The lawsuit also contends that the defendants benefited and continue to benefit

from Elden's

"commercialization of sexual exploitation."

Among those targeted by this complaint are Dave Grohl and

Krist Novoselic

, who together with the legendary and late Kurt Cobain (1967-1994) made up the classic Nirvana line-up.

The lawsuit also targets Kirk Weddle, who was

the cover

photographer

for Nevermind, and Courtney Love, as the heir to Cobain's estate.

Strangely, the complaint also accuses

Chad Channing

, a Nirvana drummer in its early years and who left the band in 1990, that is, before Nevermind was released.

Elden is seeking compensation for, according to the lawsuit,

"damages he has suffered and will continue to suffer for life

.

"

The Nevermind cover is considered one of the most iconic in rock history and shows

a baby diving in a pool

and hunting for a dollar bill.

As a teenager and as an adult, Elden has stepped back into the pool

to recreate that cover multiple times

.

That was what he did, for example, in 2016, when the album's quarter century was completed.

On other occasions, he has shown to the press

his disgust

for being linked to that image.

Depression, rage and anguish burst the charts thanks to the desperate cry of Nirvana on Nevermind, an album that, with its tormented and wounded rock,

brought the grunge style to the height

of its revolution.

Led by an atheist martyr and swept away by the hurricane of "Smells Like Teen Spirit", perhaps the most important and influential rock song of the 90s, Nirvana flew high with Nevermind, but its success also led its singer, Kurt. Cobain, to a labyrinth of self-destruction from which he would not get out alive.

A history of resentment

Spencer Elden repeatedly expressed his resentment towards Nirvana, as despite having made millions of dollars with Nevermind,

he was never contacted

or shared in the profits.

“Everyone who participated in the album has tons and tons of money.

I feel like the latest in grunge.

I live at my mother's house and I drive a Honda Civic.

It's hard not to get angry

when you hear the amount of money at stake, "he said a few months ago.

To Spencer, having risked

perishing underwater

didn't do much for him.

Or rather, little and nothing.

“My parents knew who Nirvana was, but they weren't very interested in the grunge scene.

My father, Rick (who worked in Hollywood as a special effects artist), was attending art school at the time and his friends often asked him for help with their projects, "he explained on the 25th anniversary of his historic photography.

And he completed: "That is how his friend Kirk called him and said: 'Do you want to earn some money today and throw your son in the pool?' My parents took me there, apparently they blew in my face to stimulate my immersion reflex (which makes babies close their glottis in the water), they submerged me, they took some pictures of me and they took me out. That was it.

They paid them $ 200

and they went to eat tacos afterwards. "
