The Centre for Health Protection stated that it received notification of a confirmed case in the UK involving a 42-year-old female patient.

The patient left Hong Kong for the United Kingdom on the 13th of this month. On the 16th, samples were taken locally for testing for the new coronavirus, and the result was positive.

She is asymptomatic. The center is following up the case with the British health authorities and conducting an epidemiological investigation.

For the sake of prudence, the Hong Kong government has included the patient’s previous residence in Wing Cheong House, Sui Wo Court, Sha Tin, into the mandatory test announcement. In the second case, a 61-year-old woman (#12072) arrived in Hong Kong from Dubai on flight EK384 on August 18. The patient was diagnosed at the Ramada Hotel in Tsim Sha Tsui.
