The Conservatives are falling to a record low.

Berlin - One or the other may rub their eyes in amazement: The SPD is in front of the Union for the first time in 15 years in a survey by the Forsa Institute.

A good five weeks before the federal elections, the CDU and CSU both hit a new poll low.

The SPD can celebrate its chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz.

In the survey published on Tuesday for the broadcasters RTL and ntv, the Social Democrats come to 23 percent and thus increase by two points compared to the previous week.

The CDU / CSU, in turn, slipped by one percentage point to 22 percent.

The INSA survey, which was also published on Tuesday and is regularly

collected

for the

Bild

newspaper, had already caused a survey shock for Laschets Union.

The Forsa survey now puts another shovel on top.

And the raging "duel" between CDU / CSU and SPD creates tension.

SPD for the first time before Union!

Latest poll shows disastrous results for Laschet

The 22 percent value is the lowest that Forsa has determined for the Union since it was founded in 1984.

The SPD was last in October 2006 in a Forsa survey before the CDU / CSU.

According to the results of the Sunday question, the SPD could hypothetically lead a new federal government in three different constellations - with the Greens and the FDP;

with CDU and FDP;

as well as with the Greens and Leftists.

The latter are already making substantive concessions - probably also with a view to a possible alliance.

In the new survey, however, the Greens slide by one percentage point to 18 percent.

Nothing changed for any of the other parties.

The FDP is twelve percent, the AfD ten percent and the left six percent.

Bundestag election 2021: Several three-party alliances possible - defeat for the Union?

According to the survey, four three-way alliances are currently possible.

In addition to the three under the leadership of the Social Democrats: another attempt by the “Jamaica” coalition made up of the Union, Greens and FDP.

According to the survey, many voters expect the Union to be defeated.

60 percent of those questioned rated it as a misjudgment that the Union could still win voters who would prefer to vote for the CDU / CSU for fear of an SPD-led federal government.

Even the supporters of the Union parties are skeptical: 57 percent of the CDU and 65 percent of the CSU supporters do not believe in a trend reversal.
