With the resumption of many filming that was postponed by the pandemic, advertisements for national tanks begin to appear.

One of them is

Argentina, 1985

, a film inspired by the true story of the team that led the Trial of the Military Juntas.

The plot will focus on the figures of the prosecutor Julio César Strassera and the deputy prosecutor Luis Moreno Ocampo who, accompanied by a group of young people, dared against the clock and under constant threat to accuse the bloodiest Argentine military dictatorship.

Ricardo Darín

grew his hair and mustache to embody Strassera.

While

Peter Lanzani

also renewed his look to put himself in Moreno Ocampo's shoes.

Ricardo Darín and Peter Lanzani star in "Argentina, 1985", the film that will tell about the Trial of the Boards.

Today the first images of this film were revealed, directed by Santiago Miter (

La patota

,

La cordillera

) and written by Miter himself and Mariano Llinás (

La flor

,

Extraordinary stories

).

In addition to narrating the relationship between the two prosecutors -Strassera was already a figure with a career, while Moreno Ocampo started his career in Justice-, it will also address many lesser-known stories of all the people who were involved in the deed of a judicial process historical and unpublished in the world.

The trial was recognized as the “Argentine Nuremberg”, and it became the emblem of that democratic spring that dared to judge, repudiate and condemn those responsible for the military dictatorship that took place between 1976 and 1983.

Where the real action happened

“A battle of David against Goliath with the least expected protagonists”, reads part of the official synopsis of this first Argentine Amazon Original film that represents the reunion of Miter and Darín after

La cordillera

(2017), a film in which the actor played to the President of the Nation.

Luis Moreno Ocampo and Julio César Strassera, the prosecutors who accused those responsible for the last military dictatorship.

Still without an exact release date,

Argentina, 1985

will be shot in various locations where the live action occurred, and will first go through Argentine theaters before being exclusively available on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries.

Yesterday, on Tuesday, August 24 in the morning, it was learned that the film crew was in Rosario, filming in the streets surrounding the Monument to the Flag.

The production will also go through Buenos Aires and Salta.

It should be remembered that the project began to take shape in 2018 and was scheduled to start filming last year.

But like many productions, it was postponed until these days.
