The Ministry of Tourism: Rehabilitation and licensing of investment projects at a cost of 379 billion pounds in the Syrian governorates

The Ministry of Tourism has granted qualification forms and tourist commendation licenses to a number of tourist facilities in some governorates.

The Director of Tourist Facilities at the Ministry of Tourism, Eng. Samer Othman, said in a statement to SANA Economic Bulletin that the ministry has granted rehabilitation forms to 94 facilities in Tartous, Lattakia, Sweida, Daraa, Homs, Aleppo, Damascus and its countryside, with a number of chairs that amounted to 7,271 and a number of beds that exceeded 2,300 beds, indicating that its investment costs amounted to 178 billion according to current prices.

Othman pointed out that the ministry also granted licenses to 14 facilities, including 7 facilities in Lattakia, Aleppo and Homs, comprising 1458 chairs and 225 beds, at a cost of 201 billion Syrian pounds at current prices, while 7 other facilities were licensed according to the BOT system in Damascus, Tartous and Latakia, with a total of 8142 chairs and 6802 bed.
