Interior Minister Ayelet Shaked met today (Thursday) with Shira Isakov, a day after the court convicted Aviad Moshe of attempting to murder her.
During the meeting, which was held at Shaked's office in Tel Aviv, Iscov raised a series of bureaucratic difficulties regarding the law denying guardianship of those who committed serious violent offenses within the family, and Minister Shaked undertook to work to regulate the issue at the Interior Ministry.
As part of Iscove's struggle with her ex-husband, she acted and promoted the enactment of a law to deny guardianship of a parent accused of sexual or violent offenses, which was approved by the Knesset late last year.
This is against the background of Aviad Moshe's attempt to prevent their joint son from receiving medical treatment and vaccines.
However, during the meeting with Shaked, Iscove raised the bureaucratic difficulties that persist even after receiving the guardianship - and the need to return to the walls of the court to obtain approvals for various proceedings.

Some of these issues are under the authority of the Ministry of the Interior, and Shaked said she would work for a settlement that would eliminate the need to go to court and make it easier for women and families.
"At the Interior Ministry, we will make sure that any action that women like Shira have to take regarding children and personal status is done in a simple and easy way without having to be dragged to court," Shaked promised, and Iskov thanked her for her willingness to work to advance the issue.
The meeting was also attended by Adv. Miki Roitman, who accompanied the legislative process of Negative Guardianship as a professional adviser to the Knesset's Women's Status Committee
. Moshe was also convicted of abusing their common son, who was forced to watch the violent attack on his mother.
