Israelis vaccinated overseas are not eligible for a third dose • Ministry of Health: "We will have a discussion"

Instead of a third dose, they will receive a first dose:

Israelis who have been vaccinated abroad are not defined in Israel as vaccinated but as recovering, according to an antibody test, and are not entitled to a third dose but to a first dose.

R., an Israeli citizen from the United States who recently returned to live in Israel and was twice vaccinated there with a modern vaccine, discovered that here she is defined as recovering.

The Ministry of Health states that after receiving the third dose, R. will be considered a vaccinated vaccine in one dose, but this solution does not provide it.

"On a daily basis, it doesn't matter," she says, "in fact, something wrong is written in my medical file. It is written that I had a virus - but I did not have it. The data in the state's on me are incorrect, and no one knows what the consequences will be in the future."

This problem is common to all those who have been vaccinated abroad - including modern vaccines and vaccines that are not yet registered in Israel, such as those of Astraznica and even Sputnik. That were not vaccinated with a pager.

The latest vaccination guide instructs to vaccinate in a third dose only from Pfizer and states that "Currently, a modern vaccine is not authorized for administration in a third dose. The issue is being examined with the company."

The Ministry of Health's response: "The ministry has no way of estimating the number of people who received a vaccine that is not given in Israel. As for guidelines regarding the administration of a third dose to those who did not receive vaccines registered in Israel, we are aware of inquiries on this issue."

Regarding R.'s case, it was reported: "A person who was vaccinated abroad and received a positive serological result in Israel, was registered as recovering.

Therefore, she will be offered one post-recovery dose, and then she will be considered an immunized recovery. "
