Sergio Massa spoke of the need to achieve consensus for the reconstruction of Argentina and within this framework he argued that there
should be "self-regulation and control"
not only in the Executive and Legislative Power, but also in the Judiciary.
"We have to have mechanisms for qualification and follow-up and fulfillment of goals so that, in addition, that stability that we want Argentina to have from the point of view of the regulations has control mechanisms that allow detecting or pointing out those who deviate," he said in en within the framework of the annual meeting of the Council of the Americas, under the theme "Argentina: economic and political perspectives".
The head of the lower house argued that
"Argentina must be thought about with basic agreements"
to which "you have to put names and surnames."
In addition, he added that the best example is a regulatory framework defined by Parliament "which is later distorted many times by the free interpretation of the legislator's will by different judges in our country."

The former chief of the Cabinet observed that the current situation "imposes a double reconstruction task for Argentina, which comes from a process of social and economic deterioration that forces us to stop the ball and think ahead."
"There is no doubt that we have to go from words to deeds," said Massa, and considered that in the face of the technological and knowledge revolution, the first agreement "has to be around building an educational system for the 21st century."
He also argued that
the political leadership must establish agreements "regarding the debt matrix" so that no force "is going to take on debt
for another issue that is not infrastructure or socio-educational programs of intergenerational impact."
"Politics cannot continue with self-regulation. Not only in the Executive Branch but in the three branches of the State. We must have mechanisms for quality control, qualification and monitoring."
"Argentina today is a country with a balance that makes us proud, but that also forces us to raise our voices to propose the revision of some parameters when rating countries. Argentina is a financial debtor, but a creditor from the environmental point of view ", interpreted Massa.
In this sense, he highlighted the need to "find a point of balance so that what the developing countries put in is valued and quantified."
On the other hand, the former mayor of Tigre affirmed that another of the changes must be around the foreign service "understanding that the world has changed."
"Argentina has to establish a new system of rewards and punishments according to the capacity of our ambassadors and consuls to open up new markets. We must give tools for the new world to each company, each employee," he stressed.
Finally, Massa highlighted the central importance of establishing a new federal agreement "not only from the fiscal point of view" but also designing a regime "that defines very well responsibilities of the federal state, the provincial and local states, understanding that each one has to have resources and also obligations, in a process of deconcentration ".
"The pandemic revealed that the metropolitan areas or the most populated regions of the country showed the weakness of looking at everything concentrated and not having a federal development," he emphasized.
