The Directorate of Civil Affairs at the Ministry of Interior confirmed that with the launch of the One Syria Trust project, paper transactions were dispensed with, and all data related to civil status became completely electronically extracted.

In a statement to SANA, the Director of Informatics at the Civil Affairs Directorate, Eng. Mona Al-Masry, indicated to the continuation of recording the incidents, both on paper and electronically, on a temporary basis, to increase scrutiny.

The One Syria Trust project, according to Al-Masry, aims to build a central database that includes all the records of Syrian citizens registered since the 1922 census, in which the citizen is represented by only one effective entry, the main key of which is the national number, explaining that the project came as a natural development of the electronic civil registry, which started work in it since 2000 .

According to Al-Masry, the project contributed very quickly to the completion of transactions from any center close to the place of residence of the citizen, indicating that the number of civil registry centers is about 300 centers distributed in various governorates. Civil affairs.

Al-Masry stressed the importance of integrating the work between the databases of public authorities with the civil registry database so that the citizen is represented in all these authorities through his national number, which will permanently eliminate the similarity of names, noting that the Civil Status Law issued by Law No. 13 of 2021 allowed Syrian embassies and consulates to register incidents Electronic civil registry.

Incidents imported from abroad, according to Al-Masry, are currently registered in the central administration, and there is no longer a need to send paper documents related to these incidents to the place of registration for their registration, noting that work is being done in agreement with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants to find an appropriate mechanism to register these incidents in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or send them electronically to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. civil.

Al-Masry indicated that the number of data extracted from the civil registry centers working on the Secretariat project in various governorates since its launch last May until now is more than 800,000 individual registration statements, more than 985,000 family statements, and more than 160,000 death statements.

Al-Masry pointed out that the number of birth data reached more than 183,000 and the number of marriage data reached more than 160,000, while more than 29,000 divorce statements were extracted during the same period.

Al-Masry pointed out that the One Syria Municipality project contributes to reducing manipulations in the registration of incidents, noting that data can be extracted from any civil registry center and that preparations are currently underway to invest the electronic portal system for the One Syria Secretariat to enter all civil registry centers and public authorities.
