Gaißach - A serious collision between a mountain biker and a car occurred on Wednesday afternoon around 1:45 p.m.

According to the police, a 15-year-old cycled from the Gaißach district of Pfistern in the direction of Bacherwald.

At Lenggrieser Strasse, the young person wanted to cross it straight ahead in the direction of Wiedmoos / Untergries and, according to his brother, who was also cycling without looking, simply drove straight ahead across the intersection.

At the same time, an 84-year-old Tölzer was driving his VW Golf on Lenggrieser Strasse, which had the right of way. There was a collision. The mountain biker was thrown onto the windshield of the car and hit his head there. The young Gaißacher, who according to the police was not wearing a bicycle helmet, was seriously injured. With suspicion of a traumatic brain injury, the ambulance brought the 15-year-old to the Asklepios city clinic in Tölz. The 84-year-old's Golf was no longer ready to drive due to the cracked windshield and had to be towed away. The property damage to the car and bike amounts to around 2750 euros.
