Grainau - Yesterday, around 5 p.m., a 21-year-old vacationer from Sweden jumped from the bridge to the Untersee into the Eibsee. While jumping in the water, he hit his head against a stone and sustained serious injuries. He was first supplied by the Grainau water rescue service and taken to the other bank by boat. From there he was flown by a rescue helicopter to the accident clinic in Murnau for further treatment. He sustained serious, but not life-threatening injuries to the cervical spine, head and collarbone according to the current state of affairs. kb
