The National Network Services Authority announced that the version of the “Smart Touch” application has become free of any malicious software after addressing the problem.
The authority clarified in a statement published on its official page today that the “Smart Touch” company processed the malicious software in the application after it was notified of its existence and the application version became free of any malicious software.
The authority confirmed that granting a work permit for this type of applications that provide balance transfer or electronic payment services is currently suspended until the necessary controls and regulations are issued by the Communications and Post Regulatory Authority and the Central Bank of Syria.
The authority confirmed that all news and circulars related to electronic applications on the network are issued by it, calling on everyone to indicate the source when sharing any news related to applications.
Last July, the authority warned all users of the danger of installing an application called “Smart Touch” in their cell phones, as it contains malicious software that poses a threat to their data and privacy.
