He went to a local bar with friends. When a 24-year-old friend of his got drunk and intending to kill himself got behind the wheel of his car at around 1 a.m., he stepped in. The 19-year-old stood in front of his friend's car and put his hands on the hood, according to the police press release. He persuaded him to turn off the engine and get out. But he didn't listen to his buddy and just stepped on the gas.
According to the current state of the investigation, the 19-year-old was probably able to hold on to the bonnet for a while.
When the car was traveling at about 50 km / h, the young man's strength weakened and he was thrown onto a sidewalk.
He was seriously injured in the process.
His friend just left him there and ran away.
The 19-year-old was later stabilized by an emergency doctor * and flown to the hospital in a helicopter.
However, there he succumbed to his severe head injuries on Tuesday last week.

The 24-year-old, who initially disappeared, found himself back at the scene of the accident a short time later.
He was arrested by the police without resistance.
Due to his exceptional psychological situation, he was treated in the district hospital.
An expert was called in to reconstruct the exact course of the accident.
In the meantime, the Schweinfurt regional court issued an arrest warrant against the 24-year-old on suspicion of manslaughter and dangerous interference in road traffic.

The accused is now in a correctional facility.
