Lenggries

- “Being an artist, that means doing without”, sings Sonja Schroth in her first solo single, the “Systemrelevanzen-Jodla”.

This was especially true in the long months of the Corona lockdown, when singers, musicians, actors or cabaret artists were not allowed to perform because they were not viewed as "systemically relevant".

Sonja Schroth was also affected. She was not allowed to perform with her band “d'Housemusi” or with “Elysion”, the duo with Elisabeth Danzer, or to teach in the “Müsikwerkstatt” in Lenggries. So she had a lot of time to think about the battered art and culture scene and the needs of the "social distancing" that had become necessary.

Schroth wrote both the music and the lyrics.

The song is only superficially about relaxed, naive-happy Bavarian-Feelgood-Sound with Juchizers.

Rather, behind lines like “Gfrei ma us auf wos moi war” is the longing to finally be able to be carefree again - whether in life or on stage.

"Even if it has become a little more relaxed in the meantime: Everything is still subdued and the performance situation remains modest," says Schroth, who makes music and teaches in the Isarwinkel, but lives in Penzberg.

At first only one instrumental piece was planned

Due to the hygiene measures that are still necessary, people are often still unsure, and the many requirements regarding distance and number of visitors also made the financial situation for organizers and artists still precarious.

"That is why it is still relevant, the systemic relevance Jodla."

It is Schroth's first solo single, and it was actually intended as an instrumental piece, until the lyrics and yodels were added almost overnight.

"It was originally intended as an encouraging gesture and greeting outside, according to the motto: 'It can only go up'", says the 51-year-old, who has been on the music and theater stages since childhood.

“D'Zeit will be different, don't let the dream die”, is her appeal for and to all those who work in and are interested in culture.

You can listen to the song on all popular streaming portals such as Spotify, iTunes, Amazon Music, Deezer or Sound Cloud.

By the way, she was supported with the single by "Micart" singer Mick B. Hardt.
