Benediktbeuern - A stranger has set his sights on traffic signs in Benediktbeuern.
Ten copies have already disappeared.
The police are investigating.
The community of Benediktbeuern has been complaining about the theft of ten traffic signs since April. This is announced by the responsible police station in Kochel. The hitherto unknown thief removed most of the signs from hiking trails in the Loisach area. "The perpetrator is apparently bothered by the restrictions that these signs prescribe in the designated places," said the police. The sign 250 means a traffic ban for vehicles of all kinds. According to the police, there are now indications that the perpetrator is
a cyclist
acts.
This is apparently bothered by the fact that certain routes are not allowed to cycle because these road users are also affected by the sign 250.
Since the municipality has a traffic safety obligation, the stolen signs have to be replaced again and again.
The costs now amount to several hundred euros.
