Hong Kong Customs seized about 8 kilograms of suspected cocaine at the Hong Kong International Airport the day before (25th), with an estimated market value of about 9.3 million yuan.

The Customs alleges that someone hid suspected cocaine in a batch of handicrafts imported from Panama in an attempt to confuse the customs. Lin Zelin, the senior investigation director of the airport investigation team, said that customs officers inspected a batch of air express cargo that arrived in Hong Kong from Panama on the same day and reported that they contained handicrafts, and found that the suspected cocaine was contained in 16 handicrafts.

He described the method of collecting drugs with precision. About 500 grams of suspected cocaine was hidden in the center of each handicraft, and thick agaric glue was added to the outer layer in an attempt to hinder the detection of the instrument.
