The swimmer broke an amazing world record in the swimming pool in Tokyo and won a gold medal at the Paralympic Games • Meet Mark Millier

Mark Mellier won a gold medal at the Tokyo Paralympic Games, broke a world record and made us all excited along with him and the delegation, for whom this is already the second gold in the Japanese capital.

Maliar, a Paralympic swimmer, belongs to ILAN Haifa's swimming team. The 21-year-old swimmer was born with cerebral palsy (and even a twin brother - Ariel) came to the swimming industry, as part of hydrotherapy treatment at ILAN Haifa's pool.

After a few years he was offered to join the swimming team.

During the first years Mark competed in national competitions, and after his successes he advanced to the European and World Championships, all of which he has had impressive achievements.

At the 2017 World Championships in Mexico City, Mexico, Millier won two bronze medals.

In 2018, at the European Championships held in Dublin, Ireland, Malier won 3 medals, 1 silver and 2 bronze.

In September 2019, at the World Championships for the Disabled held in London, Millier won two medals, gold and silver.

In the qualifying round, he set new Israeli records.

In 2020, he was named Athlete of the Year by the Israel Disabled Sports Association.

In 2021, he won a silver medal, 200 meters mixed at the European Championships in Portugal, and a gold medal, two silver medals and a bronze medal.

And this is the most important medal of all.
