The federal government under Chancellor Angela Merkel is apparently planning to expand the corona rules in Germany.
Berlin - At the beginning of August, the federal and state governments redefined numerous measures in the Corona * pandemic at a summit meeting.
In view of the ongoing vaccination campaign, the most important component was the introduction of the 3G rule in Germany.
In many places, it states that only people who have tested negative for the coronavirus, vaccinated against Sars-CoV-2 or who have recovered from Covid-19 disease are allowed to enter or participate.
This has been in effect since Monday (23.08.2021) and affects, among other things, indoor catering and hairdressing salons *.
"In order to prevent the virus from spreading, people who have not [...] been vaccinated have to be tested more," said the federal government in this regard.

The federal government is now apparently planning to expand this 3G rule.
Government spokesman Steffen Seibert confirmed reports at the government press conference on Friday (August 27, 2021) that tests could soon also apply to unvaccinated people on trains and airplanes.
The government is currently examining it, so Seibert.
However, he did not give any details on how the tests could be checked.
According to Seibert, the 3G rule in long-distance traffic of Deutsche Bahn * and domestic flights is being considered.

The background to this is the steadily increasing number of new corona infections in Germany.
On Friday morning the incidence value was 70.3, more than 12,000 new cases were reported to the Robert Koch Institute.
Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn was concerned about the development.
He emphasized that among the newly infected are mainly unvaccinated.
Corona: Merkel’s 3G initiative - praise from Lauterbach, criticism from Merz
Merkel's 3G push for rail travel and flights arouses divided reactions.
The idea was approved by health politician Karl Lauterbach.
He wrote on Twitter at the weekend when the first reports were circulating: “Unvaccinated infected people can even endanger vaccinated people.
Therefore the 3G rule would be correct here. "
On the other hand, economic politician Friedrich Merz reacted with criticism.
He described the suggestion as impractical: “I think that's alien.” (Tu)
