Zheng Songtai, a passionate citizen, was not recognized as an ex officio committee member, and immediately lost a member of the Legislative Council.
Cheng Songtai was elected in the 2016 Legislative Council election under the auspices of the local faction. Afterwards, he experienced the upside-down of the national flag in the Legislative Council. He was once condemned by the establishment and asked to disqualify him as a member of Parliament. Finally, he escaped with the protection of the democrats.
Last year, the Legislative Council was postponed for another year. The democrats resigned and he was the only one who remained in the Council. This was "appreciated" by the Hong Kong and Macau Affairs Office.
It is a pity that Zheng Songtai still failed to avoid the fate of being DQ. The Qualification Review Committee announced the results of the candidacy review yesterday (26th). His nomination was invalidated and he was immediately deprived of his membership.
