We have done our duty.
For thirteen years, from 2001 to 2014, France fought the Taliban in Afghanistan with arms in hand, at the cost of 90 deaths and many wounded among our troops.
The Americans mourned 2,500 victims, the British over 450: if no one denies the tragedy that the Afghans are experiencing today, no one can seriously claim that the West has abandoned them to their fate.

Today we need to gather
those who have supported the French army as well as the personalities notoriously committed to the defense of human rights who request it, but we do not have the vocation to bring to France all the residents who say they are opposed to the Taliban.
As we have seen this week, the risk of Islamists infiltrating among them is extremely high and the government's first duty, even before welcoming refugees, is to protect the French against terrorist danger.
Beyond the risk of an attack on our soil,
