The United Nations Security Council today condemned in the strongest terms the two terrorist bombings that took place in the Afghan capital, Kabul.
“The members of the Security Council condemn in the strongest terms the horrific attacks that took place near Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul,” a statement by the Council said today during its session to discuss the situation in Afghanistan, stressing the need to hold the organizers, perpetrators and sponsors of these terrorist acts accountable.
He added that "the deliberate targeting of civilians and crews assisting in the evacuation of civilians is an outrageous act and should be condemned."
More than 100 people, including 13 US soldiers and 90 Afghan civilians, were killed in two explosions that targeted yesterday the vicinity of the Afghan capital, Kabul, and were claimed by the terrorist organization "ISIS".
