Spitzingsee

- you want to educate, not to create a good mood.

The Miesbach district association of the Bavarian Farmers' Association (BBV) and the Rote Valepp alpine community below the Stümpflingbahn car park on Spitzingsee would like to provide information about the consequences of wolf colonization in the region with a banner and a man-high and thus realistic herd protection fence.

As reported, an on-site meeting with representatives from politics, nature conservation and tourism kicked off the event at the beginning of July.

Now the initiators have suffered a setback: strangers have damaged the information boards and the banner, sometimes even completely destroying them.

Alpine community “concerned and angry” about “aggressive and anonymous protest”.

The alpine community is disappointed by the vandalism: “Our message is our concern for the alpine and pasture management.

The fact that strangers are damaging our portrayal makes us upset and angry. ”One is always open to an exchange on a factual level,“ but such an aggressive and anonymous type of protest does not help us any further ”.

BBV district chairman Hans Hacklinger is also outraged: "We want to carry out an objective dialogue and educational work in society and politics and not demonstrate against the animal wolf."

After wolf sightings: Alpine farmers are worried about fear

The alpine farmers want to continue on this path despite the destruction: As far as possible, the information boards on the demo fence have been renewed.

And the exchange should also continue: After an information evening with a professor from the Technical University of Munich and an on-site visit at the fence, the BBV is now planning to set up a round table in the district.
