A paramedic died on Saturday in Besançon, after being stabbed during an intervention on a man known to suffer from psychological disorders and who was taken into custody, we learned from the police and parquet.

After a call from his family to the SAMU in the early morning, two paramedics went to the home of the forty-year-old in the district of Planoise, police said.
Also alerted, it arrived on the scene a few minutes after the ambulance.

The paramedics a priori knew him so they did not wait for us
" and after entering the apartment, the man "
stabbed one of them
", explained the police, confirming information from L'Est Républicain.

died a few hours later
" at the hospital where his colleague had transported him, the same source said. "
The victim is unfortunately dead and a suspicious person is in police custody
