Apple issued an unconventional announcement tonight (Saturday) after its people found a malfunction in a small percentage of "iPhone 12" devices (including the Pro version) that prevents them from extracting audio in some cases due to a malfunction in the device.
Although this is not a "recall", the company offers those who own these models (which are considered its flagship devices) to come for a free service to regulate the situation as part of a special program.
"If your iPhone 12 or iPhone 12 Pro does not play audio during a call, you may be eligible for this service," the company said in a statement.
The affected devices were manufactured between October 2020 and April 2021, and as mentioned, this is in any case a very small percentage. The repair will be free of charge, the company promised. It should be emphasized that devices from the "Pro Max" and "Mini" versions are not affected.
