Generation change at TSV Maria Thalheim: Franziska Sellmair takes over the chairmanship - Roland Kolb leaves after 26 years

Maria Thalheim - generation change at TSV Maria Thalheim: The members of TSV Maria Thalheim thanked the outgoing chairman Roland Kolb and his board of directors at the annual general meeting in the school gym with a standing ovation. The 23-year-old Franziska Sellmaier from Thalheim was unanimously elected as the new chairwoman. The nurse takes on a difficult legacy as Kolb's successor. Kolb had taken over the club from Franziska's father and founding chairman Hans Sellmaier 26 years ago, which closes the circle at the same time.

Kolb then looked back wistfully at his tenure with all the highlights as chairman of TSV Maria Thalheim. "It was a lot of fun, we achieved and undertook a lot," said the 62-year-old retired sergeant who took over the club in March 1995.

Kolb remembered the early days when Olympic competitions and funny sautrogren races were held. But every year the members and children performed fabulous sporting achievements in the Erdinger stadium or swimming pool, especially when it came to the sport badges. “The St. Nicholas celebrations in the mountains and the funny carnival balls were legendary, recalls Kolb. A highlight in 1990 was the founding of the stock shooting department with Franz Baumgartner. With 1,400 sensational hours of voluntary work, the members were able to put their own stock lane into operation on the eastern edge of the village in 1992.

In 2004 a stock lane hall was even built, which the club supported with 50,000 euros. Kolb's thanks also went to the community for the free use of the school gym. It was also time to say goodbye for the 59-year-old treasurer of TSV Maria Thalheim, Josef Egger, who had managed well for 18 years and was proud to hand over a well-filled cash register with 24,000 euros to his successor. - to
