Plastic artist Samer Al-Saeedi has returned to artistic work with great momentum through his third solo exhibition, which was hosted by Louay Kayali Gallery in the Arab Gallery, after a hiatus from the artwork that lasted for years.

The exhibition, which included 27 acrylic paintings on canvas with some collage works, centered around roses, nature and silent nature, which was also not devoid of roses, in an impressionistic style, in which a strong emotional state of colors overlapping harmoniously on the surface of works in various sizes between large, medium and small.

Regarding the exhibition, the artist Al-Saidi said in a statement to SANA: “I returned to artistic work two years ago after a break during the years of war because of my work in the Syrian Red Crescent and my preoccupation during that period. Today, I resume my artistic career from the point where I stopped to present part of my production and artistic inventory.”

Al-Saidi explained that the impressionist style is the closest to him since his artistic beginnings, considering at the same time that artists are no longer adhering to a particular style or school after schools have overlapped and each artist can put his own mark through his works.

Al-Saedi pointed out that his painting bears the stages of the development of his experience through the elements used in business cadres with special techniques that express his visual memory and artistic experience accumulated over time, noting that nature fascinates him with all its details, trying to devote its details within special artistic clips within his paintings to become scenes from a wide garden full of By beauty.

Al-Saedi prefers to work on large sizes of paintings, but at the same time he deals with what is available to him of tools and work requirements of all types and sizes, attributing this to the difficulty of securing the full requirements of artistic work in light of economic hardship and the high prices of technical work requirements due to the unjust sanctions against Syria.

Al-Saedi, whose works are a special case dominated by hope, sees that this is achieved through his paintings filled with roses and beauty, stressing that roses carry all the meanings and human feelings of hope, pain, sadness and joy, and it is the only gift suitable for all occasions.
