The Russian Foreign Ministry has expressed concerns about the presence of terrorists among those who left Afghanistan under the cover of refugees.
Yesterday, two explosions claimed by the terrorist organization ISIS targeted the vicinity of Kabul Airport, killing more than 100 people, including American soldiers and Afghan citizens.
Sputnik news agency quoted the ministry as saying in a statement today that there are serious discussions within the Taliban movement on the issue of the future government, which could provide an opportunity to reach a settlement, noting that Moscow will have to improve relations with the new authorities in Afghanistan.
Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov called on Western countries to draw lessons from what is currently happening in Afghanistan and to realize the danger of attempts to impose values from abroad on other peoples, noting that developments in Afghanistan, especially the bloody terrorist attacks that took place in Kabul yesterday, show an increasing need to speed up the process. Helping the Afghans form an inclusive transitional government with the participation of all major political forces without delay.
