The Free Patriotic Movement in Lebanon renewed its call to expedite the formation of the new government through cooperation between the President of the Republic and the designated president as constitutional partners in forming a government that puts an end to the collapse and establishes a financial recovery.
The political body in the movement confirmed in a statement after its meeting today, headed by Lebanese MP Gebran Bassil, that “the Free Patriotic Movement supports every opportunity for the rapid birth of the government and facilitates this politically and in the media. The Republic and harming his powers,” she said, noting the need for Lebanese President Michel Aoun and the tasked with forming the government, Najib Mikati, to overcome these sedition attempts to sow discord between them.
The statement expressed concern about attempts to derail the investigation into the Beirut port explosion crime in order to obscure the truth about who imported ammonium nitrate, who is responsible for storing it, and whether its detonation was a premeditated criminal act.
President Aoun commissioned Najib Mikati to form a new government on the 26th of last July, amid a political and economic crisis in Lebanon.
