The Government decided to postpone the cancellation of the mandatory quarantine for Argentines who have traveled abroad for employment reasons.
The measure, which was to take effect on Thursday after its publication in the Official Gazette under number 846/21, will only be applied as of September 20.
The new date was informed through a new administrative decision published this Saturday in the Official Gazette, within the framework of the restrictions imposed on the borders in the face of the threat of the Delta variant of the coronavirus.
"Except for carrying out the quarantine provided for in Article 7, subsection d) of Decree No. 260/20 and its amending and complementary rules to Argentines and Argentines and residents in national territory who
have traveled abroad for work reasons or commercial
, for the sole purpose of the resumption of said activities in Argentine territory, under the condition of compliance with the following requirements, "stated the rule published on Thursday.
Those requirements were twofold: "accredit the complete vaccination scheme, at least 21 days in advance of entering the country" and that the passengers will present, in addition to the negative PCR test at origin carried out within 72 hours prior to boarding and upon arrival. Antigen test required upon entry to the country,
two extra PCR tests: one on the fifth day and the other on the tenth day

The postponement of the measure is known hours after the Government confirmed that as of September 6, a pilot test will be launched to allow the entry of Uruguayan and Chilean tourists.
Those seeking to vacation in the country must have a complete vaccination scheme, present a negative PCR and complete
an isolation period
that will be defined in the coming days.
