"He had been in the country for a month and he had already sent two. He should have been imprisoned for the other act, but he was only detained for five days and they released him. What can be done about that?",
One of the investigators
tells
Clarín
that this Saturday he was behind the two accomplices of Iván Espinosa Gallardo, the 19-year-old assailant of Chilean nationality who fell dead in the house of a retiree whom he went to rob and whom he, or one of his sides, killed shooting.
Roberto Conte, 69, had just entered his house, in Aguaribay at 700, when he heard a bang at the front door behind him.
Inside
were his wife and one of his grandchildren.
They were three armed robbers.
The retiree tried to defend himself and his family, and quickly grabbed his 38-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, with legal registration.
In a matter of seconds, a crossfire began.
One of the assailants confronted Conte and was shot twice in the head, while the other two got into the car in which they had arrived to escape the scene.
That white Fiat Cronos that was registered in several cameras of the municipality.
It was already almost 22 on this Friday.
The neighborhood, the block, shocked by the scene.
One of the neighbors loaded Conte in his car with the idea of taking him to Haedo Hospital, but the retiree, a former commercial employee, died before being assisted.
"We are close to the other criminals who escaped and we are looking for the car in case it was abandoned in other areas of the west," added the same source, who confirmed that the gang's car escaped to the Morón area.
After the identification of the thief, his background was reached.
And the data that no longer causes surprise, although it continues to impact each time it is repeated.
Espinosa Gallardo had committed a similar act, an assault on a retired marriage in Sarandí, with a Chilean accomplice.
Investigators determined that he
had been arrested on August 13
last in a case entitled "robbery in town and gang", in the jurisdiction of the 4th section.
de Avellaneda, in the southern suburbs.
In that attack, which occurred in a house on 4300 Mariano Moreno Street, they took down an 81-year-old grandfather and his wife and stole various belongings from them.
When the police raided and detained Espinosa Gallardo, they found several watches (recognized by the victim), cell phones and money.
Also a machine gun replica.
He lived in a room in the Constitución neighborhood.
After five days in detention, he
was released on August 18
by a decision of the Guarantee Judge Brenda Madrid.
In the expert reports made at the Conte crime scene, the victim's revolver was seized with five cartridges, six .40 sheaths and two deformed projectiles of the same caliber.
The fact is investigated by the prosecutor Gabriela Millán, in charge of the decentralized Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 1 in Ituzaingó, who ordered different measures to catch the other criminals.
Prosecutor Millán was waiting for the results of the autopsies to know with certainty the causes of the deaths.
For her part, a neighbor who identified herself as Alba told the Todo Noticias news channel that she was at home and heard "the police coming and going and a lot of noise", although she did not come out "out of fear."
"For almost two years we have been victims of robberies
since the pandemic is among us and they rob us every day. The neighbors are afraid to go out because they are assaulted. The boys cannot be sitting on the sidewalk because they say that they steal their cell phone, "he added.
Alba said that "a neighbor on the block was robbed recently, there were four armed people" and closed: "As sometimes they cannot rob you, they kill you."
