The district's vaccination bus will stop again at the Brauneck valley station on Sunday, August 29th.

The first attempt a week ago went pretty well - and that wasn't just due to the vouchers for the mountain railway.

Lenggries -

The vaccination mobile has been in the parking lot in front of the cable car at Brauneck since 9 a.m.

Despite the early hour, there are already some people willing to be vaccinated in front of the Aicher Group tent.

But it wasn't just the voucher for the mountain railway that attracted people.

For most of them, vaccination protection and the shorter travel distance are crucial.

The mountain railway voucher only plays a minor role

So also for Heinz Holzner (56).

He actually planned to have his Johnson & Johnson vaccination dose administered at the Tölzer vaccination center.

“The Brauneck was closer in this case,” explains the Lenggrieser.

In his opinion, the vaccination bus is a “good offer”, especially for those for whom the way to the vaccination center is too far.

The fact that there is also a mountain railway voucher in addition to the spades played less of a role for him.

Many people who want to be vaccinated see shorter journeys as an advantage

A young woman from Lenggries, who received her second dose of Biontech on Sunday, sees it similarly.

She already had an appointment at the Bad Tölz vaccination center, but could not keep it for personal reasons.

That is why she went to Brauneck on the spur of the moment after she became aware of the action in the newspaper, says the young woman.

“I think it's very good that there is a vaccination offer on site,” says the Lenggrieserin.

Due to the shorter journey, the spades are associated with less effort.

For them, too, the voucher offered was not a “decisive factor” for the vaccination at the mountain railway.

100 people are vaccinated at the Braunck

Kathrin Rauschenbach from the Aicher Group can confirm that the vaccination bus is very well received.

"It has been well received so far." By noon, 21 people had already been vaccinated.

In total, the mobile vaccination team handed 100 people their syringes last Sunday, as the district office announced on request.

In addition to the 35-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, the Biontech vaccine, which includes 32 primary and 28 secondary vaccinations, was also popular.

Vaccination center manager Maximilian Pfandl is also satisfied with the mobile vaccination campaign.

The offer is not only well received by those willing to vaccinate.

"We get an incredible number of inquiries from organizers," explains Pfandl.

Bergbahn supports the campaign "because we hope that we can keep our operations going in winter too"

Christiane Bayer (35) also draws a positive conclusion. “This is a great campaign,” says the Lenggrieserin. She got her first Biontech vaccination on Sunday. Since she was still breastfeeding until a few weeks ago, she only decided to have a vaccination now, explains the Lenggrieserin. With this flexible offer, it is "super easy" to get your syringe, as no registration is necessary. “I can only recommend it to everyone,” said Bayer.

Even if the majority of the vaccinated people came to Brauneck not only because of the free ascent, the operators consider their commitment to be a success. A total of 40 vouchers were issued last Sunday, as Marketing Manager Antonia Asenstorfer announced. "We support the vaccination campaign because we hope that we can keep our operations going in winter", explains Asenstorfer. A high vaccination rate is necessary for this. On this Sunday, August 29th, everyone who gets vaccinated on site will again be given free rides. (fs)
