With the participation of hundreds of national companies, philanthropists, producers, shareholders and local partner councils, the “Family Market” initiative was launched today in various governorates and cities, which included the opening of several direct selling markets for various commodities and the needs of the Syrian family, with offers, discounts and discounts of up to 40 percent.

The Family Market initiative aims to provide markets for selling school supplies at a price close to the cost, alleviating difficult living pressures for Syrian families, and contributing to meeting an important part of their families’ needs with the approaching school season.

In Damascus, on the grounds of the old fairgrounds, the family market was launched, with the participation of about 200 companies, offering all the needs of the family, including stationery and back-to-school supplies.

The Governor of Damascus, Engineer Adel Al-Olabi, indicated in a statement to reporters that the market was opened in cooperation between the Damascus Governorate, the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, economic activities, charitable societies and civil initiatives. Quneitra Governor Abdel Halim Khalil stressed in a statement to SANA reporter the importance of the market, which contributes to breaking the high prices and limiting them, and helping the family to secure school supplies and home supplies at cost prices and reduce the financial burden.

In turn, the head of the Quneitra Chamber of Commerce and Industry Imad Qassem explained that the chamber, in cooperation with the governorate, worked to secure free transportation to the market to allow citizens to benefit from offers and price reductions, which amounted to about 25 percent on stationery materials.

The director of the Syrian branch of trade in Quneitra, Firas Mahawesh, pointed out the establishment's participation in offers and discounted prices, based on its role in the positive intervention in the market.

In Homs, the family market was launched today in the Freedom Hall in the Armenian neighborhood, which aims to secure various commodities with a reduction of the prices of the offered materials up to 40 percent.

During the opening, Muhammad Omran, director of the Syrian branch of trade, indicated that the market aims to secure school supplies such as stationery and other things, in addition to shopping for supplies, which includes a variety of foodstuffs.

Abdullah Al-Bawab, Head of Homs City Council, confirmed that in the context of easing the burdens on citizens, the market was launched, which included the display of school supplies for all ages, in addition to ration materials and the provision of goods at the cheapest prices.

Iyad al-Sibai, head of the Homs Chamber of Commerce, stated that the market includes Homs merchants and companies with the aim of serving the community and delivering goods to the consumer at lower prices than foreign markets, stressing that there is a great invitation from merchants to participate in this initiative.

The opening was attended by the Governor of Homs, Engineer Bassam Parsik.

In Hama, the “Ailah Market” was launched around the Hama Citadel, with the participation of economic and commercial activities to secure a variety of goods for citizens at competitive prices for the market.

In a statement to SANA reporter, Engineer Khaled Al-Fadhel, director of the branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in Hama, stated that the establishment’s participation was represented by two wings, the first dedicated to school clothes and stationery, and the second wing dedicated to basic food and supplies and other materials that constitute an almost daily need for citizens, pointing out that the discounts are real and not fake on various The displayed items ranged between 25 and 50 percent for stationery and school supplies, and between 15 and 40 percent for food and food products.

In al-Hasakah, the al-Ayla market, which was opened in the city, included several pavilions for providing school supplies such as stationery, notebooks, pens, clothes and bags, in addition to food supplies, detergents and fabrics, at competitive prices for those in the market, at rates ranging between 25 and 50 percent.

The head of Al-Hasakah City Council, Eng. Adnan Khajo, explained that the market aims to secure the people’s needs of various materials at encouraging and reduced prices, as the market was organized in partnership with the economic and commercial activities in the city of Al-Hasakah to activate its societal role and contribute to supporting and supporting the needs of families.

Market Director Muhammad Saleh Khalaf indicated that the aim of its establishment is to reduce the burden on citizens to offer materials at prices commensurate with the citizens' income in light of the current living conditions, as the market contains all the people's requirements of foodstuffs, detergents, school materials, clothing products, electrical materials and fabrics.

The director of the Syrian branch of trade, Omar Hamo, pointed out that the branch took the largest space in the market by offering large quantities of stationery materials at a reduced price of up to 50 percent for some materials, in addition to a wide variety of foodstuffs and detergents, at rates up to 30 percent.

Responsible for the Bait Al-Mouna project of the Al-Mawda Association, Nora Selo, indicated that the aim of the participation is to provide various foodstuffs for the supply at encouraging prices and high quality that contribute to helping families to buy and take into account the current living conditions.
