A 9-year-old Israeli boy died from a venomous jellyfish bite in Thailand, the country's authorities reported last night (Sunday).

Foreign Ministry officials have learned of the case, and the Israeli consulate in Thailand is in contact with the boy's father.

The nine-year-old was stung by a cubic jellyfish, also known as the "sea leper."

The cubic jellyfish, one of the most venomous animals in the world, can be deadly to humans.
