Numerous families came for a tour of the mining museum in Peißenberg.

In addition to a short ride on the small train, the “blasting” in the deep tunnel was the highlight for the children - but the adults also found the tour exciting.

Peißenberg -

It was the "first, real rush," said Alex Ehle, who is not only one of the leaders in the mining museum in Peißenberg, but also the first chairman of the mining museum friends.

Around 80 adults and children waited in front of the museum in Peißenberg for the two tours to start.

Charlotte Thiel was one of them.

Together with their children, six-year-old Anton and eight-year-old Paula, as well as their mother-in-law Marget.

“We're going on vacation on the farm,” said Charlotte Thiel.

In the app of her accommodation, the Berghof Heger, the Munich native came across the mining museum in Peißenberg.

Paula and Anton especially liked the fake blasting in the deep tunnel by Alex Ehle: "That was really cool," they both agreed.

Grandma Marget Thiel also thought the tour was great.

“It's great that there are still volunteers who do that.

That is no longer common. "

The entire tour was also well received by Jörg Erbenich, his wife Simone and their two children Anna-Sophie (9) and Philipp-Jona (5).

The family from Monzingen (Rhineland-Palatinate) was not only enthusiastic about the deep tunnel, but also asked interested questions about the exhibits in the main building of the museum, about which they learned about the tourist information in Riegsee.

But not only vacationers were guests at the mining museum in Peißenberg.

Gerhard Straus from Lengenfeld near Landsberg made a day trip to the neighboring district with his wife Hedwig and his seven grandchildren.

“We were already in Peiting on the forest adventure trail.

My wife then looked to see what was still there and came across the museum, ”explained Straus.

It was important to the couple that there was something for all of their grandchildren - because the youngest is one and a half, the oldest 15. And the couple succeeded: “That was really good,” summarizes Hedwig Straus.
