Ambassador Hussein Haridi, former assistant foreign minister of Egypt, affirmed that the United States is hampering international efforts aimed at resolving the crisis in Syria.
Haridi said in a statement to SANA reporter in Cairo that the United States, which claims to fight terrorism, targets Syria, which stands and confronts this terrorism with all force and firmness, and exerts various types of political and economic pressures on it.
Haridy pointed out that US policies are characterized by confusion at the present time, as Washington is putting pressure on Arab governments and countries in order to prevent them from restoring normal relations with Syria.
