In the night from Friday to Saturday, shortly after midnight, a man was struck by a car on the national road 118, near Meudon.
According to the first elements confirmed by the Nanterre prosecutor's office, the individual - whose vital prognosis was still engaged on Saturday evening - would have tried to run across the expressway to escape the police.
The man, whose identity and age are unknown for the moment, would have been part of a group of three individuals who entered a few moments earlier in the enclosure of a waste reception center, located on the territory of Meudon.
Their presence would have triggered the site's anti-intrusion alarm, alerting the police.
When a police patrol arrived, the three men fled individually.
One of them was quickly arrested.
He is a man of Romanian nationality, in an irregular situation on French territory.
He was taken to an administrative detention center for deportation to the border.
The third man could not be apprehended.
Still according to the first elements of the investigation, the driver of the vehicle that hit the fleeing man was not driving under drugs or under the influence of alcohol. His vehicle will be the subject of an expertise this Tuesday.
