The Minister of Public Accounts Olivier Dussopt announced that he would run for the head of “
Territories of Progress
” in
early October
, a small party forming the left wing of the majority and aiming to attract new voters and elected officials around Emmanuel Macron.

I indeed wish to chair TdP
" at the end of its congress in Bordeaux on October 9 and 10, declared Mr. Dussopt in the
Journal du Dimanche
.

Territories of Progress, which claims some 2,000 activists, "
is useful because it is autonomous
", argues Mr. Dussopt who "
launches an appeal to voters and elected officials
" on the left.

Join us, in the interest of the country, of our fellow citizens, as well as of social democracy.
The best way to change reality is in this majority and with Emmanuel Macron,
”insisted Mr. Dussopt, a member of the PS until his entry into government at the end of 2017.
Several ministers are part of "Territories of Progress", including Foreign Affairs Jean-Yves Le Drian, Labor Élisabeth Borne, Housing Emmanuelle Wargon and European Affairs Clément Beaune.
Faced with the “
right-wing lawsuit
” of the five-year term that Mr. Dussopt “
refutes
”, but also faced with well-identified figures from the right (Édouard Philippe, Bruno Le Maire, Gérald Darmanin ...), the left wing of the the majority are struggling to find an incarnation.
