Fürstenfeldbruck district - The public transport team in the Fürstenfeldbruck district office has recently been reinforced in public relations in order to further expand mobility advice and passenger information.

In the district, developments and expansion of the range of public transport services are making great strides. With the timetable change in December, there will again be service expansions and improvements in the entire RegionalBus traffic. The digitization of mobility is also advancing, as is the planning of mobility stations. This requires increased public relations work in the interests of the passengers.

“In the last few years we have invested enormously in local public transport with its regional bus service and the MVV RufTaxi. But what use are the best offers if nobody knows them? Professional communication is essential for this. Our mobility offers have to reach everyone in the district and this requires a variety of forms of communication in a wide variety of areas and on all information channels that exist, ”explains District Administrator Karmasin about the application measures.

The aim of all efforts is to win even more passengers for environmentally friendly journeys so that climate protection and the turnaround in traffic can be actively lived on site.

Good public relations work ensures acceptance and thus also the profitability of public transport.

The district was able to continuously increase its passenger numbers; even before the pandemic, ten million passengers annually use the bus and over 100,000 passengers use the RufTaxi.

Now it is time to reconnect with this balance sheet and expand the numbers further.

Annegret Mitterer-Kettenberger

Since July, Annegret Mitterer-Kettenberger has been part of the public relations team in the public transport department. She takes on tasks such as the preparation and implementation of campaigns to raise awareness, the applications in print products and online, the maintenance of the homepage, the conception and implementation of events and the production and distribution of timetable media.

Mitterer-Kettenberger has the best prerequisites for overcoming the challenges: after studying art history at the LMU Munich, she worked in the press and public relations department of the Bavarian Palace Administration.

This was followed by a freelance activity in museum education and as an assistant in press and public relations at the Museum Fürstenfeldbruck, before moving to the Fürstenfeldbruck district office.

“Being mobile in everyday life and in leisure time is a basic human need.

Being able to contribute and convey important information to them is a creative and meaningful activity that I am very much looking forward to, ”explained Mitterer-Kettenberger.

She can be reached by phone on 08141 519-5871 or by email at oepnv@lra-ffb.de.
