The new Freising Open Air "Kulturbote" celebrated its successful premiere.

Two acts tore the audience from their seats.

Freising

- It was arranged: The area was fenced, the floor was covered with boards, the beer benches were at a large distance from each other, the stage was set up.

The “cultural messenger” could come.

And he came.

On Friday the Jazzrausch Bigband opened the open air at Vöttinger Weiher.

And even if the location inevitably reminded of the years in which the Vöttinger Weiher Open Air of Prima live and stereo (Plus) shook the earth and sometimes the festival area turned into a mud orgy, a comparison was forbidden: The Plus-Open- Air was designed as a major event with Woodstock character, the Kulturbote-Open-Air comes as a beer garden in festival dress.

Many a great musician will be there until September 12th.

Bangs and crackers

So it was the Jazzrausch Big Band that was supposed to get the festival format, which was new for Freising, going. And even if the seats were not fully occupied on that Friday evening and instead of the 500 admitted guests only around 200 came to experience the musical fireworks of the great combo, there was a lot of power and energy to be felt.

"The name is program.

A brass band has not yet broken into a more dynamic, driving and contagious way.

The 25-person ensemble has given the genre a whole new dimension.

A live act that cannot be surpassed in terms of pressure and precision ”- this is how the event union organizers announced the combo's gig.

And they didn't lie or exaggerate - especially since the big band themselves emphasized right at the beginning of the performance that this was “a concert for bangers only”, i.e. only for bangers, smashers and great songs.

Thrilling appearances

And something else promised Jazzrausch right at the beginning: They will put pressure on and press in the sound as if 2000 visitors were there.

Prerequisite: The audience would then of course also have to consume for 2,000 people.

That in turn pleased the organizers and all those who had set up their food and drink stands around the beer garden so that none of the music fans had to go hungry or even thirsty.

And the big band kept their word: while band leader Roman Sladek drove his colleagues to Blech & Co. and inevitably carried away the audience with his energy and his joy in playing, in the music and in the performance, the two dozen great musicians gave everything.

Sometimes carried by the voice of Alma Naidu, sometimes spurred on by the percussion department, sometimes completely surrendered to oneself and the solos of the brass, two hours of jazz rush were not only a real pleasure musically, but also in terms of the stage show.

A pleasure that every jazz fan must attend.

And so it didn't take two pieces before many fans were already standing, dancing and celebrating the big band sound with its unmistakable techno influences.

Hip-hop with passion

Sitting really close together and again moved, more precisely: the audience then danced and hopped on Saturday and Sunday in the beer garden of the Kulturbote.

Because Dicht & Grabend, in short: the "Dichtis", made the area a hip-hop hotspot.

Let's hear what the Event Union has to say about this: “The Lower Bavarian hip-hop formation shook an Inzi dance tour out of their dance shoes for the last few meters.

With the declared aim of awakening tired spirits. "

And again the organizers didn't lie: Lef Dutti (bourgeois Fabian Frischmann) and George Urkwell (bourgeois Michael Huber) put on an impressive hip-hop show and put just as much passion and energy into their gig at Vöttinger Weiher as they did almost two years ago in front of a full house in the Munich Olympic Hall.

Just professionals.

And the next few days will continue with professionals in the beer garden: CubaBoarisch 2.0 will be on the big stage on September 8th, Django 3000 will visit Vöttinger Weiher on September 11th, and Konstantin Wecker will be with Konstantin Wecker on the final day of the “Kulturbote” open air to hear a really big one on the stage at the pond.
