The US chain CNN began operating

under the guidance of its founder, Ted Turner.

And it became the flagship signal that broadcasts news 24 hours a day.

That opening day, Turner left a mysterious phrase on the air: "we will broadcast news 24 hours a day

until the end of the world

...".

It lasts one minute and should be broadcast by a living human.

What few knew is that Turner also thought about that:

the day of the end of the world

.

And anticipating the Apocalypse created a video to be broadcast on the last day of humanity.

His idea is that it would have to be broadcast by

the last journalist left alive

and the recording is one minute long.

What is seen in the video?

The images show the band of the Armed Forces of the United States playing the anthem "Nearer my God to thee"

(Closer to you Lord)

, the song that the band was playing aboard the

Titanic as it was sinking

.

The video ends with a dramatic fade to black.

Who will press the button to broadcast it and which viewer will be able to see it?

And what must have been a secret was revealed by the most unexpected character:

a fellow at the network

, Michael Ballaban, who discovered the video that had been kept since the late 1990s.

The tape is in the database of the American network under the name

"Turner Doomsay Video"

(Video of Turner for the Day of Judgment).

It is also accompanied by a very specific warning: "HFR (Hold For Release)

do not publish until the end of the world is confirmed

."

Who will see it that day?

They say that Ted Turner himself, who ordered its filming, told the employees involved in the recording: "We will be on the air from June 1 (1980) and we will continue

until the end of the world comes

. When the day comes, we're going to cover it, we're going to play "Nearer, my God, to Thee" and we're going to say goodbye. "

The video ends with a dramatic fade to black (Video Capture).

The video must be broadcast on the last day of the world and the inevitable question is: who will press the button to broadcast it and which viewer will be able to see it while

zombies, an epidemic, aliens or an atomic catastrophe has wiped out the planet

?
