Ten members of the family, including six children, were killed in a U.S. drone strike in Kabul yesterday, relatives said. The U.S. military says it is investigating the deadly incident, which took place two days before the end of the withdrawal and three days after the deadly attack in which 13 U.S. soldiers and about 170 Afghan civilians were

killed. The youngest was two-year-old Somaya, and the oldest of the children was 12-year-old Farzad.

Ramin Yosefi, a relative of the dead, said that "it was wrong, it was a brutal attack and it happened on the basis of incorrect information."

Another relative, Amla Hamdi, told the BBC that it was his two-year-old daughter who was killed in the attack.

He said he and other family members wanted to evacuate to the United States, and were waiting for a phone call telling them to get to the airport.

One of them was a relative of Nasser, who had previously worked as an interpreter for U.S. forces in the country and was also killed in the attack.

Ahmadinejad said the United States had made "a mistake, a big mistake."

Rocket attack on the airport

Security tensions in the Kabul airport area continued today, with several rockets being fired this morning at the compound and intercepted by a U.S. military missile system.

The ISIS affiliate in Afghanistan claimed responsibility for the attack, which reportedly included the firing of six rockets.

No casualties were reported in the incident.

The White House said President Joe Biden, who had come under fire for withdrawing from the withdrawal, had been updated on the rocket attack.
